Get Organized Week has become the latest way to quite conveniently get yourself organized, who would have guessed it. In this day and age, where technology and the internet rules, it has quite quickly become uncommon not to send friends and family free e-cards to celebrate events, or show them how you are going to organize yourself.

These free e-cards have very rapidly become the very fast, very inexpensive (free) way to thank anyone, for any occasion, or anything . The best bit about free e-cards is that you no longer have to go out, waste your time and buy a normal paper card, but can quite easily switch on your pc, go onto the internet and send your free e-card, for guess what, free.

Another very cool thing about free e-cards is how environmentally friendly they are. Instead of wasting paper, free e-cards are all made and sent via a pc. This also helps link in with global warming and the ozone layer, but you do not need a science lesson on it now.

Get Organized Week is the creation of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), a nonprofit professional group consisting of and established for the organizationally motivated.

This organization began GO Week, as it is affectionately called, to champion the importance of organizational skills and assist in teaching the valuable time- and money-saving techniques that can literally transform the home, office, and any other environment that needs such help.

NAPO members range from speakers on the subject of organization and office managers to employees and management of companies that manufacture organizational products, all of whom are dedicated to organization as the key to a less stressful and more enjoyable way of living.

The most appropriate way to celebrate GO Week is rather transparent - to get organized! For many people, this will mean doing as little as following an already prepared plan of activities, though for most, it indicates the need to completely reformulate their lives. In either case, having a plan is a great first step in the right direction.

When tasks are too big to accomplish in one sitting or work day, break them up into manageable chunks and schedule how you will gradually work on them. This will help make chores appear much less daunting and make procrastination less of an issue.

A good piece of advice is to figure out what kind of organizational skill you most lack and concentrate on that. For instance, time management may be a serious problem for a single working parent, or the organization of space may afflict someone who works at home. If you seem to be a lost cause, don't give up. Contact your local chapter of NAPO for products and services during GO Week and all year long.

Free e-cards are quite frankly, brilliant. They save me so much money and time each year it is untrue. People I know actually get sick of me going on about free e-cards, but they now also have scrapped the paper alternative, in favour of the free e-card.
