If you are helping someone who suffers from anxiety and anxiety attacks, it is essential to know that you are there for the long haul. It may take longer than a few weeks or even months for that person to totally overcome anxiety attacks.

You have not to be condemnatory or ignorant in any way to the person who is suffering the attack. Anxiety is serious and you should deal with it properly. The worst thing you could do when trying to help people overcoming anxiety and stop anxiety attacks is to be hard and believe that they will quickly overcome it. You cannot be judgmental and in the main time help them stop anxiety attacks.

Persons who experience anxiety attacks are not thinking about anything out of their worries and they are constantly scared that all the bad things are going to happen. Anxiety attacks cannot be resolved by a magic stick or saying Open Sesame.

Don't imagine that persons who are exposed to anxiety are overacting. Their actions should not be underestimated and you should not be thinking that shaking them will allow them overcoming the situation. Anxiety attacks are serious to be underestimated. Do everything in your power to comprehend and support affected people stop anxiety attacks.

People who experience anxiety attacks can feel at any given time that they are exposed to danger. They feel that they cannot draw themselves out of troubles they perceived. And at this time accelerated heartbeat, shortness of breath and other symptoms come in to play.

If you pay no heed to someone with anxiety attack, you will hurt more than you can aid. He depends on you and if you do it inappropriately he will feel more valueless.

When ignoring persons with anxiety attacks they will start feeling more depressed and they will not do anything that can help them. So, let them know that you are with them, they will be encouraged and it will be easier to handle anxiety attacks.

Once it begins, let the person go through the attack. Your interference can make things go wrong. Let it happen and they will pass it. If for any reason the anxiety attack doesn't stop, the physician intervention is a must.
