Always make sure before you let someone do the job, that both parties agree exactly what the repair and clean up will include, how much you will have to spend, and how long the job will take to be completed. Put it in writing and you should not give them all the payment until the task has been finished to your satisfaction. Repairing any damaged sewer pipes is a necessary part of the job, but the clean up of the very bacteria filled waste is every bit as necessary. Make sure this area of the job is done well and adheres to any local codes that might be involved dealing with sewage clean up.
