Nearly all of us have some kind of allergy, and there is often no cure. Okay, sometimes allergies can be controlled, but it can be a real hassle having to avoid everyday foods and other substances. And some of us have such reactions that, if we even come close to what we're allergic to, we'll suffer a near fatal reaction.

Well, a new study indicates that while we might not be able to get rid of our own allergies right now, we may be able to protect our children against them and an onslaught of other things, like asthma. Child allergies have been on the increase for years and are a blight on the lives of children and those who love them.

Child Allergies Prevented when Mother Drinks Organically Produced Milk.

A link has been found between what a lactating mother drink, what their children drink after breastfeeding, and child allergies, and it is shown that drinking organic milk while lactating, and feeding that milk to your child, may decrease the risk of the child developing allergies.

Women who drank organic milk produced more of an antibody that protected the child against health problems like allergies, asthma, and other things that would stay with the child throughout their entire life.

This link, scientists think, may open up new health discoveries, and the results of this study are going to fuel countless more with the hope that organic food can help improve not only the prevention of child allergies, but relief for other conditions, mental and physical.

It is incredible as it proves what organic food supporters have been saying all along. There really is a difference between plain old processed foods and true organic foods. But what can you do if you are not an infant, and find your allergies acting up?

Help for All Allergy Sufferers

Well, organic food may help with that as well. This is because there are no harmful additives allowed in true organic food, save government regulated additives, like vitamin B and iron.

And it is shown that the same food colourings and additives that are banned from healthy organic food are known to cause a whole plethora of health issues in both adults and children.

Allergies are a classic example, even in adults who have never experienced them before.

Eating true certified organic foods cuts back on your exposure to those harmful additives, which can mean less allergic reactions and other health issues like the common headache.

But maybe you are thinking, additives are not that bad! The government lets us eat them, after all. Right? Well, think again. While around 300 additives are actually permitted in the food we eat, only around 30 are allowed under Soil Association standards. Why would this be?

Simply because of the known dangers they present. Near countless studies have shown that additives can cause incredibly negative health effects, like asthma and growth retardation and even hyperactivity.

But these amazingly negative foods are allowed in what many of us eat each and every day, because it's good for the companies who make money from them. Add a little colouring here to make it look nice, throw in some additives so it will stay on the shelves a little longer... sure, some people might have allergic reactions and even die from those reactions.

The benefits are clear. Organic food can seriously reduce your risk of allergic reaction, and a few, scarce studies that haven't been able to be verified show that those who regularly ate organic foods have been nearly or completely cured from many allergies.

While this data has not yet been officially confirmed, more studies are looking into the claims and possibilities which would mean great things, and many breakthroughs, in science.

With so many positive effects, why do more people not eat organic foods? Well, it is a myth that only a handful of people eat them. In fact, organic food is the largest growing food sector in the world, as more and more people realize the true benefits.

What better time to start then now?
