Do you think that the mold that you have inside your room, on that corner of the carpet should be neglected? Many people think it is not a worrying factor, even I used think so, but recently I came across a few facts, the type and the amount of impact they can have on our most important part of our life, 'Health'.

It is true that exposure is not always very critical, but at times they may be of a greater extent when the exposure is greater. The impact indoor mold has on people is high but it is particularly higher, incase of individual who are prone to allergies or asthma. Exposure of such individuals may be dangerous if the amount of exposure is high. In the following section, I would like to take you through some of the potential health hazards that exposure to indoor mold may result into.

Allergic illness:

In case of indoor mold, it is quite common for us to inhale mold cells as they are present around us. After we inhale mold cell, they get to our respiratory tract within a very short duration. Our body's immune system tries to fight against the invading mold cells, which may result in the cause of allergy. The immune system of our body tries to destroy the mold cell just like an agent, which too might cause allergies. At times over reaction of our immune system to a comparatively lower amount of mold cell population may also result in allergies, with symptoms of sneezing runny nose etc.

Infection:

After the mold cells move up to the respiratory tract, the presence of a certain mold cell species may result in respiratory infection. It is true that this not a danger, when it comes to people with strong immune system, but it may be dangerous for persons with a weak immune system.

Toxic effects:

Do you know that large amount of doses of a certain varieties of molds may result in poisoning, which are caused by toxins. These toxins are known as mycotoxins, which are present in the mold cells. Though it is true that effects of breathing such mycotoxins has not yet been particularly determined, but it is believed that it may cause health risks like allergies.

Asthma:

Explaining the problems a person with asthma may have is not that simple, as it may even lead to the most extreme of situations. A person with asthma may have difficulty in breathing, which may be mild such as dry-cough or may be dangerous enough to threaten life such as inability to breathe.

The above mentioned problems are some of the basic health problems that may arise due constant or high exposure to indoor mold. It is true that the level of impact it has on a person may depend on the immune system, but it is also true that mold cell has enough capability to make a person with a strong immune system, weak. So, it is better to cleanup indoor mold so that we stay in a healthier environment. Make sure that you have a professional mold cleaner or if you plan doing it yourself, be sure that you read through all the precautions; as cleaning up if of molds too pose health hazards.
