For many, astrology and the thought that a person's personality can derived from the positioning of the Sun, Moon, and stars is ridiculous. Skeptics have long criticized the scientific backing of astrology, or better put, the lack there of, as well as the validity of astrological methods and systems.

However, cultures have followed the stars and planets for thousands of years, using them in the design and construction of buildings, societies, as well as enlightenment.

By comparing the position of many astronomical objects, including the sun, the planets, the moon, asteroids, and even the fictitious second moon of Earth, Lilith, within on of the sun signs, sometimes referred to as Houses or Zodiac signs, an experienced and knowledgeable astrologer can make a complete and accurate analysis of the personality of a person, leaving even the most persistent of skeptics at a loss for words.

In this day and age, it is not uncommon for people to look to an astrologer or to the stars when making a critical decision. However, our society usually brands these people as strange or bizarre, sometimes even going as far as casting these people aside.

However, it is important to keep in mind that back in medieval times, it was not uncommon for a king to consult with a wizard or make a decision on the outcome of a star chart. Here are some of the most powerful people in the history of man, and they are basing not only their decisions, but the decisions of their entire kingdoms, on the positions of the planets.

Another common misconception about astrology is that it is supernatural or paranormal, or that some sort of metaphysical presence is responsible for making our actions be controlled by the stars. For some people, their horoscope may reveal some sort of deeper spiritual meaning, however, the accuracy of horoscopes can be more clearly explained by the fact the events on earth more often than not mimic those in space.

Almost all forms of calendars recognize the cyclical nature of time, with each component being formed from and measured against astronomical events. Take our calendar for example. Our year is measured against the time it takes for the Earth to make one complete revolution around the Sun.

Each and every month is a measure of the time it takes for the moon to go through each of its phases. Each day is one full rotation of the Earth on its axis. So as you can see, it is not abnormal to compare everyday occurrences on Earth with those in space. From the ancient Babylonian Calendar to the Buddhist Calendar, astrology and astronomical events and phenomena have played and important part in the creation of calendar systems throughout history.

In this day, when nothing is believable until proven by science, we fail to see the bigger picture. Maybe the ancients were able to see what we can't, and that is that like a clock, the planets, stars, the Sun, the Moon, and all celestial bodies move with an unseen synchronous pattern, each falling into perfect rhythm and harmony.
