The whole point to natural skin care products is that they contain natural ingredients. Ingredients that are both naturally occurring and are safe to use. There are natural substances that are definitely unsafe to use, so the bit about safe to use in the products is an important point.

Natural Shea Butter occurs naturally and is extremely safe, and is an important ingredient in only the very best natural skin care products. So why not find out what Shea Butter is and why it's so good for your skin.

Shea butter comes from the seed from the nut of the Shea tree, found in Africa, technically named Butyrospermum parkii after Mr Mungo Park who is credited with discovering it in the 1800s. The fruit, or nut, of the tree is picked then dried and the fat is extracted from the seed by a process of boiling and pressure.

The resulting butter is Shea Butter and it is eaten extensively in Africa. I believe it is very good. What it is is the oils of the seed of the tree.

Why is it good for your skin? It is one of the very best naturally occurring moisturizers. One of the reasons for this is that the oils in natural Shea Butter are virtually identical to those produced by the sebaceous glands of the skin, so using natural skin care products with Shea Butter is like applying your skins own moisturizer. Perfect.

It helps to reduce wrinkles and stretch marks and also helps remove age spots, or brown spots, from the skin as well as blemishes and scars.

It is very effective at reducing wrinkles.

When applied to the skin it is completely absorbed and leaves no residue on the surface of the skin. Studies have shown visible improvements in the skin in 4 to 6 weeks.

The very best Olive Oil is cold pressed, and the same goes for the best Natural Shea Butter. Cold pressed means that it isn't extracted using a chemical process which can deteriorate the quality of the oil extracted, and can even add some unwanted ingredients to the oil.

The worlds best natural skin care products use Shea Butter in their products and the results are truly exceptional. There's no doubt that naturally occurring ingredients are some of the best ingredients that can be found in skin care products.

Hopefully that explains why Natural Shea Butter is so good for skin care, and what it is.
