A good sleep plays an important role in our life because it helps us to gain energy back after a day of working hard. If you lack sleep, you cannot concentrate on your study or work. As a result, you cannot have success.

Sleep has so many benefits but not all of us can easily have the sleep we want. How can you wake up in the morning, take a look in the mirror, smile and think that "Last night I slept so well"

Go to bed on time

Like eating and other daily activities, if you go to bed on time every day, you will not feel sleepy and can easily have a good sleep. You do not have to try hard to make yourself sleep. However, you should not go to bed too early or too late. The best time is between 10 pm and 11 p.m. Many people think that staying up late will make them sleep more easily because they will feel sleepy. They are wrong because staying up late will make you stressful and what you get is a dog-sleep.

Do not take many short sleeps

We usually feel tired when coming home from work. Many people have the bad habit of sleeping for 1 or 2 hours when they come home. Such short sleeps may make you feel comfortable at that time because you can remove your tiredness immediately and no longer feel sleepy. However, what are its harmful effects? It will make you have difficulty in getting to sleep at night or to even experience sleeplessness that lead to tiredness next day when you are at school or at work. Furthermore, these short sleeps will upset your daily schedule. Instead of taking a short sleep, you can use some other ways to get away from being sleepy like having a bath, washing your face with cold water, listening to loud music, etc.

Avoid stimulants like coffee, tea

People usually drink coffee when they want to stay up late without feeling sleepy. You are not one of them; you want to have a good sleep. Coffee is a stimulant having effects on your mental system that can make you not sleepy or sleep in a stressful state and as a result, you cannot have a good sleep.

If you find it very difficult to sleep at night, you have to avoid coffee not only in the evening but also during day because even when you drink coffee in the morning, its effects can last until the evening.

Those stimulants are not good not only for your sleep but also your health in general so you should give them up and change to drinks that are better for your health like: fruit juice, milk, yogurt, etc.

Have a bath of warm water

This is a simple but very effective way. Having a bath of warm water before going to bed will help your body remove all the tiredness and sleep can come to you more easily. However, you should not have a bath too late or a bath right after your meal; you may get some health problems.
