1. Phytessense Wakame. What is Phytessence Wakame and why is it a significant anti-aging discovery?
Phytessence Wakame is a Japanese seaweed. It has been eaten the by Japanese for centuries, both fresh and dried, and has also been prized by Japanese women for it's skin care properties. Japanese women have some of the worlds best skin, and their skin stays extremely healthy as they age. Now science is beginning to discover why.
Phytessence Wakame has many properties that, it is now being discovered, have significant benefits to your skin. Firstly it is rich in a range of minerals. For example it has 15 times the calcium that milk has. Many of the minerals in Phytessence Wakame are extremely important to skin health.
Potassium and iron, as well as the high levels of calcium, all contribute to the skin's moisture balance. As anyone with dry skin will tell you, it's important to keep the skin well hydrated. Dry skin is a real irritation, and can be a sign of poor skin health. Skin hydration is very important.

It's an essential component of our skin, and other parts of our bodies, and you'll often see keratin listed on the labels of big brand name skin care products like face creams and moisturizers.
And as our store of keratin depletes as we age having more keratin in our skin is useful. It helps reduce wrinkles and promote firmness of the skin, both of which contribute to overall skin health and youthful looking skin.
Problem is, the keratin used by the big brands is not useful to your skin. It is extracted from the horns and hooves and feathers of birds and animals and is extracted by using heat and acid. This changes the form of the keratin to a different form which isn't available to our skin.
